Dear stockists,

This spring newsletter is a bit different than usual. Usually, I'm introducing fun new products. But now, due to the labour intensity, I've had to temporarily discontinue some products that require a lot of production work or other handling, such as earrings, A3 posters and notebooks.

I've also decided to permanently discontinue the enamel mugs. A very difficult decision, as they're a favorite for many of you, and mine too. I recently calculated that I've sold over 10,000! And I made almost all of them myself. Unbelievable. The main reason is that they have a very intensive production process and handling. I outsourced it for a little while, but unfortunately, that didn't work out. I've tried several producers, but the quality was below illu-ster standards. With a little help in the studio I went back to doing it myself. But I've found that it's not sustainable.

I'm not going to stop producing them all at once; at first I'll stop making them on demand. I still have a stock of blank mugs, and Rosa will be printing them once or twice a month so there's some stock in the shop. I'll announce it in the shop when we're getting close to the last batch. This way we all have time to to say goodbeye to the illu-mugs. 
From now on, I'll only be offering the mugs at illu-wholesale.nl, no longer on Orderchamp. Currently, I only sell paper goods on Orderchamp.

Kill your darlings, they say. That means sometimes you have to say goodbye to something you love to make room for new things.
For example, I've created a lot of new card designs in recent weeks, which have already been ordered by many of you – so great! I also think a new favorite is emerging: the miniature frames. You all seem to love them! I love them too; they even cover the walls of my own home, which is rare, because I see quite enough of my own work in the studio (-:

With the above decisions, I'll be able to spend more time developing other fun stationery. I've got plenty of ideas, and I'm really looking forward to it! Last but not least I want to say that you all are the best! Big or small orders, it makes no difference to me, you placing orders again and again has given me the courage to make these decisions. Thank you!
